Visit to Valley of the Rocks 2009

Steve W, Sharon, Edith, Dave, Kay, Glenn, John, Joan, Jimmy and Pat (and Fudge of course) meet up at the Public Car Park opposite The Old Station Inn, Blackmoor Gate.

Steve W brought his GT6, Glenn was in his Spitfire 1500, John and Jimmy were in John's Herald, Joan and Pat were in Joan's MG 1100, Sharon and Edith were in Sharon's Puma and Dave, Kay and Fudge were in Dave's Austin A35.

There were a few teething troubles with both Glenn's Spitfire and Dave's Austin A35 but these were soon overcome.

We went to the Valley of the Rocks via Lynton and managed to find some parking spaces which was lucky as the place was manic being Easter weekend.

We had a lovely picnic and caught up with the stories of John, Joan, Jimmy, Pat and Glenn's holiday in the Scilly Isles.

We also meet a lovely couple from Hampshire who were down on holiday in a fantastic TR7 with a 3.9 V8 engine which was put into it in 1982. The car is now running LPG and does 16k miles a year and is to be featured very soon in Triumph World.

John, Joan, Jimmy, Pat and Glenn stopped off at The Old Station House Inn, Blackmoor Gate, North Devon for a coffee but Steve didn't as he missed Sharon's frantic signalling!
