The Crash Box and Classic Car Club Historic Vehicle Gathering Powderham 2009

We met together at the usual laybay, John and Joan in the MG 1100, Sharon and Steve W in the Mini (Sharon's Spitfire had just come back from being resprayed and wasn't quite back together) and Glenn and Trish in the only club car, Glenn's Triumph Spitfire 1500!

A relatively easy drive up the North Devon Link Road, down the M5, through Countess Weir to Powderham Castle where we joined the North Devon Sports & Classic Car Club's stand, leaving Sue to have more space on the TSSC Devon Area stand.

A good day was had followed by a meal in a local pub with John and Joan rocking to the Exeter Tornado's, with a taxi back to a lovely B&B where John and Sue, John and Joan and Steve and Sharon all stayed (Glenn and Trish were in another B&B).

Better weather was had on the Sunday including a glimpse (as it went really quickly by) of Tornado, the new steam locomotive.

It was a great weekend and hopefully next year, we'll have some more club cars!
