We all met up at 8am on the Saturday morning just outside Barnstaple. John and Joan with their Herald, Peter (and Peter) with his Roadster, Glenn, Steve and Sharon with their Spitfires. We had an uneventful trip up and arrived in time to help Sue set up the Devon Area stand. We had a great selection of cars on the stand and as the Devon Area stand was next to the North Devon Sports and Classic Car Club stand, we could pop over to see old friends! The weather was mostly heavy showers until the afternoon when the rain closed in for the day. John and Joan were staying in a B&B, Glenn, Steve and Sharon were camping but only Glenn actually camped as both Steve and Sharon decided to go back to North Devon. Unfortunately, it had rained so hard during the night, the Sunday was cancelled. |
