Buying a Triumph Spitfire May 2009

Chris spotted a really nice looking Triumph Spitfire Mk3 on ebay and Chris and Steve W went on the Friday down to near St.Austell and had a look. Brian, who was selling it, was one of Club Triumph guys who was at the Cornwall Camping Weekend so it was good to catch up. They gave the car a thorough inspection and then went home for Chris to think about whether to buy it. On the Sunday, Chris came to a descision and Chris, Sharon and Steve W went down to pick it up. Other than a slight issue with the brake lights and the inexperienced (to a Spitfire) driver using the headlight switch to signal, it was an uneventful, but enjoyable, journey home - see the big grin for evidence! So 17 years after going to look at a Spitfire and buying a Capri instead, Chris finally is the owner of a lovely Triumph Spitfire Mk3. |
