North Devon Mini Register Legendary Grand Tour 2009

We met at Blackmoor Gate, Sharon, Edith and Steve in Sharon's Mini, John and Joan in their MG 1100 and Glenn and Trish in Glenn's Triumph Spitfire 1500 (A series engines being the them of day of course) to watch the annual North Devon Mini Register Legendary Grand Tour. We drove accross Exmoor via little roads to Porlock (to avoid the worst of the hills) to visit the Exmoor Classic Car Collection and after a good look around proceeded via Lynmouth to a car park near Lee Bay, where we were met by Dave and Kay. We had a nice picnic lunch and waited to see the Mini's come by. It was lovely to see so many enthusiastic Mini owners driving past and they raised over 31k for charity - well done to them. A great time was had and roll on next year, maybe Sharon might even get to take part in her Mini then. |
