Triumph Sports Six Club North Devon Section Drive It Day Run 2010

We all met up at the Homebase car park in Barnstaple, North Devon.

All together there were 18 people, 12 cars and two dogs! John drove their Triumph Herald 948, Joan drove their Triumph Vitesse, Ray and Wendy Sweet came in their Triumph Spitfire 1500, Glenn brought his Triumph Spitfire 1500; Steve, Sarah and Megan Knight came in Steve K's Triumph 2000; Sharon and Steve came in Sharon's Triumph Spitfire MkIV; Steve T brought his Triumph TR7 V8 Works Replica; Peter, Ouna and Elliot came in a 1947 Riley 1 and 1/2 Litre (the Roadster being off the road with engine trouble); Dave came in his Austin A35; Kay, Edith and Fudge were support crew in a Toyota (although with Toyota's problems, it could have been the other way around!).

Miriam went as a passenger with John, Trish as a passenger with Joan and Liz tried various cars including the awesome TR7 V8

We drove from there to Quince Honey Farm and where Peter, Ouna, Elliot, Ray and Wendy joined us

On we went to Morrisons' Supermarket in Tiverton where we did a little shopping, had a coffee and a loo stop!

We then drove via Wimbleball to Raleigh's Cross Inn where we had a splendid meal. From Raleigh's Cross Inn, we went through Wheddon Cross, and across Exmoor to The Old Station Inn where we had a coffee.

A big thanks to Dave Wilkinson, who was our pathfinder for the day in his super A35 and who also planned and recce'd the route. A great day even though the weather was a bit showery - we covered over 80 miles.
