Chapelton Barton Steam Fair 2009

What a great weekend! The weather was ok on the Saturday and great on the Sunday so we couldn't have had it better.

On the Saturday John brought the MG1100, Joan brought her Triumph Toledo, Sharon (and Steve) brought her Triumph Spitfire MkIV , Glenn (and Trish) brought his Triumph Spitfire 1500, Chris W came in his Triumph Spitfire Mk3 and Peter came on his Triumph Tiger 90.

The marshall's had reorganised the parking by giving out numbered tickets which worked far better than the old system so a big thank you for listening to the requests for change.

Chris Glover had his own stand with his Triumph Spitfire 1500, Jaguar E-type, Jaguar D-type replica and his Mazda MX-5

We paraded in the arena as expected and checked out the attractions.

On the Saturday John brought the Triumph Herald, Joan brought the MG1100, Sharon brought her Triumph Spitfire MkIV and Steve, Glenn brought his Triumph Spitfire 1500 and Trish, and Peter came on his Triumph Tiger 90.

On Sunday we were joined a Triumph Vitesse owned by Simon Lewis, Tony Fry's lovely Triumph Spitfire, Midnight, which was Mervyn Stoneman's, and a lovely Triumph 13/60 convertible owned by Sarah Farmer

Glenn met Barry Pascoe again, a past colleague who has owned his Spitfire for over 20 years but never actually had it on road. Hopefully, with Glenn's help, we can get him on the road!
