North Devon Section Meeting at The Old Station House Inn, Blackmoor Gate, North Devon - January 2009

We started the first of our monthly meets on 20th January out at The Old Station Inn on the edge of Exmoor which is some what central to our patch and has ample parking, and means individuals didn't have too far to travel.

The venue caters well for those wanting a meal prior to any business we have. Steve, Sharon and Glenn took advantage and reported favourably. Specials and '2 for 1' deals are on in the off season.

Work commitments meant John and Joan arrived later with Derek and Alison. Dave and Kay came along too. A good social occassioon for the first one, and we did have one person outside the normal circle attend, Steve Knight, photographer and expert straight six home tuner, and he expressed an interest in future events.

Glenn also got a late Christmas present of a bottle of Spitfire Ale and some Union Jack cufflinks!

Only the Steve's came in Triumph's, Steve Knight in his 2000 and Steve Wilkinson in his GT6 but as the weather gets better and the season starts, we shold get a much better turn out.

We hope by netwoking that we can encourage others to attend the next meets, where by consensus we will choose our events and finalise details.

As the, photos show, there was a sudden scattering of snow whilst we were there and so we had a slow careful drive home.

The next meet is 17th February at 7.30pm at The Old Station House Inn, Blackmoor Gate, we hope to see you there!
